The Quercus rack - Modular solution with high load capacity
Modular system for loads up to 2,250 kg
Configure the JOWI Q Series Mobile Rack in line with your needs: L-shaped uprights with castors and support tubes are connected together by cross tubes to create a sturdy rack. i-shaped uprights can also be added to increase the maximum load capacity of the storeys. These uprights can be positioned anywhere along the length of the rack.
The high quality double castors ensure easy manoeuvrability – even when the Quercus is fully loaded.
Load up, load up... and let wagons roll!
Quercus, the old oak tree amongst JOWI Mobile Racks, is renowned for its sturdy, robust welded steel design. Convenient storage up to 6 m in length, with virtually unlimited load capacity – carrying loads of 1,500 kg and more! Not to mention its capacity for growth – Quercus combines strength with modular flexibility.
Quercus models (depths): The different depths of the Quercus rack are defined using the length of its support tubes.
Q880-3/2 with 4500 mm rack length
Customised configuration thanks to the modular system
Configure in line with your needs:
L-shaped uprights with support tubes - with castors: with 2 L-shaped uprights, the maximum load capacity is 1500 kg. Each aditional L-shaped upright adds another 750 kg to the overall maximum load capacity of your Quercus rack.
i-shaped uprights with support tubes - without castors: i-shaped uprights with support tubes can also be added to increase the maximum load capacity of the storeys and provide greater support for the items in the rack. These uprights can be positioned anywhere along the length of the rack.
Q1380-2/1 with 2000 mm rack length
If you use i-shaped uprights
the space between the L-shaped uprights is important regarding the maximum load capacity. When L-shaped uprights are spaced up to 2 m apart and additional i-shaped uprights are used, each L-shaped upright can be loaded with 750 kg.
* As the distance between the L-shaped uprights increases, the maximum load capacity reduces. When 3 metres apart, each L-shaped upright can be loaded with 350 kg.
* Additional L-shaped uprights can be used if the customer needs intermediary shelves and greater load capacity.
Q1380-2/2 rack length 3,000 mm
Depth of support up to 1380 mm
JOWI Quercus Mobile Racks are available with 5 different depths of support (640 mm, 740 mm, 880 mm, 1080 mm and 1380 mm).
Support tubes are galvanised. Customised solutions for protecting the surfaces of customer′s materials are possible. A synthetic covering for the support tubes is currently being developed.
Q880-3/0 rack length 6,000 mm
Rack lengths up to 6000 mm
JOWI Quercus Mobile Racks are available with rack lengths of 800 mm, 1200 mm, 1500 mm, 2000 mm, 3000 mm, 4500 mm and 6000 mm. Other rack lengths are available upon request.
Uneven floor or heavy load? A third cross tube must be added to the front of the chassis if the depth of the rack exceeds 880 mm or if the rack length exceeds 3 m (all depths of support).
Save costs for longer racks:
The cross tubes are a conventional size : 2" galvanised threaded tubes, nominal size 60.3 x 3.65 mm.
This brings great benefits when the customer needs a different length of rack at a later date. Especially for longer racks the customer can purchase cross tubes from local suppliers and have them cut to measure directly at his site. For racks longer than 2.4 m, the space needed for the cross tubes on the truck is the reason for higher transport costs.
Please note: Cross tubes from JOWI are reinforced at the ends. Tubes that are not reinforced should have a couple of centimetres overhang to prevent the ends of the tube from caving in. The corresponding plastic caps can also be ordered if required (Item description: plastic caps GL 60 for Quercus cross tube).
You decide how much space you need between each storey.
A few quick and easy turns of a hexagon socket set screw is all it takes to adjust the height of each storey to exactly how you want it.
Manoeuvring is child's play
even in restricted areas with a full load, thanks to ball bearing steering castors and their convex tread
"Scissor" frame or fixed frame: you save space whichever you choose.
Unloaded JOWI fixed frame racks stack simply inside one another. And it’s just as simple if you choose the scissor frame design. The length of empty racks can quickly and easily be reduced to a fraction of their overall length.
